NBL CANADA EXPANSION NOW OPEN FOR 2014-15 - INCLUDING THE WEST

(TORONTO, ON): The National Basketball League of Canada has now opened up expansion for the 2014-15 season with applications also being accepted from Western Provinces.
NBL Canada President & CEO, Andre Levingston, said the following: "We are now ready to begin accepting applications from Western Canadian cities to gauge the interest out there. We fully expect NBL Canada basketball to be played out West in the very near future."
"We have an unbelievably exciting product and we have visited several cities out West doing our due diligence, and there is a tremendous appetite for basketball," added Levingston. "There are also several markets even in Ontario that we have identified that could be ideal such as Kitchener, Kingston, and Hamilton, among others."

Critical Dates in the Expansion Process:
- January 31, 2014: Latest date that Expansion Applications & deposits will be accepted for the 2014-15 season.
- March 31, 2014: Latest date that signed arena leases and Articles of Incorporation are due to the League.
- April 15, 2014: Latest date that Board will take to ratify expansion clubs. Balance of expansion fee is due.
April 30, 2014: Arena available dates are due to the league.
