Q&A from recent HBR Training Sessions

Our HBR Training kicked off in April and we wanted to share some questions that were asked during the training sessions along with our responses. Also, a link to our HBR page where you can find our 2018 Admin Manual. We hope you find this useful.
Dependent Day Care FSA and Elder Care

We've recently received inquiries for more information on how the DDCFSA account can be used for elder care. The NCFlex guide only touches on the topic but doesn't go into great detail. The 2017 IRS Publication 503 has some great information about this benefit and how it can be used.

Specifically, page 7 of the publication mentions care outside of the home and specifies that the qualifying dependent must regularly spend at least 8 hours each day in the participant's home. See below for a link to the publication.
