NCI will be hosting an Animal Food Preventive Control workshop on
June 21-26, 2017. This workshop is
intended to ensure safe manufacturing/ processing, packing and holding of food products for animal consumption in the U.S.
The Preventive Controls Rule for Animal Feeds requires that each facility have a written food safety plan and a hazard analysis that were prepared by a Qualified Preventive Control Individual, or PCQI.
The workshop provides training and a certificate in order to meet the requirements for an individual being recognized as a PCQI.
