NCTA will celebrate NC headquartered companies named to the 2017 Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies list on the evening of Thursday, September 28, at the Executive Briefing Center on the beautiful campus of SAS in Cary, NC. Our state’s fastest growing private companies will be celebrated at a reception featuring remarks from North Carolina’s Secretary of Commerce, Anthony Copeland. Each NC headquartered company on the 2017 Inc. 5000 list will receive 2 complimentary registrations to attend.

Inaugural Robot Rumble
Are you looking for a fun, engaging and educational team building experience for your company or department? The Robot Rumble is it! This will be the first event of its kind in North Carolina! With the goal of raising awareness and funds for   FIRST  North Carolina and NCTA, this fun event will bring the tech sector together to engage in friendly competition and learn more about the experiences available for North Carolina's youth through  FIRST programming. 
Join us for a briefing from ISACA about their new program, Connecting Women in Technology, offering a robust platform to attract more women in technology professions, provide support tools to help advance and sustain women’s careers, and deliver educational opportunities to develop skills and increase knowledge to further enhance women’s leadership within the global technology workforce.

Then we will jump into a panel discussion with female tech leaders as they weigh in on a future where digital, artificial intelligence and other technologies will have greater influence on the workplace and our lives.   They’ll address topics like under-representation, culture and career/life balance, the ethics and economics for gender parity, and provide insights on how to effectively advocate for change within your own organization.
Whether hiring for 1 or 100, the COME TECH OUT Job Fair series connects the area's top talent across functional areas and levels of expertise with growing companies and organizations. Emily moved to Charlotte in 2015 from her hometown of Springfield, Virginia. After graduating from West Virginia University she taught preschool for four years before transitioning into the IT industry by joining the corporate office of an IT consulting company in Tyson's Corner, Virginia. She has gained experience in HR and Operations, as well as Sales Training and Development since 2013. 

Emily’s personal interests include coaching fitness classes part time and discovering new local places to meet people and explore all that her new community has to offer. She recently put down some deeper roots by purchasing her first home here, and is very excited to join the NCTA team. Emily looks forward to meeting NCTA’s great members and sponsors, and becoming involved with and contributing to the association's already established and growing presence in the western half of the state. She can't wait to see you at an event soon!
