End of Year Transition Update
NCVPS is tentatively scheduled to complete its End-of-Year (EOY) data sync on July 28. Our registration system will be offline that evening.

During that time, we will be updating our records to reflect the completed NCDPI Powerschool EOY sync.

After the sync, schools will have access to their rising 9th graders and other students new to their schools.

As always, if you experience any issues or concerns after the sync is complete, please  open a ticket with our Virtual Support Center .
New Courses Added to Catalog
We have recently added Japanese 3 Honors to our catalog. We know many of our Japanese 2 students have wanted this. The course has its first offering in the fall of 2018.

We have also added back AP Calculus AB to our catalog in both block and yearlong offerings.

See our Course Updates and Alerts for a full listing of new courses.
The 1Million Project
Eight North Carolina school districts have received grants from the 1Million Project Foundation. 45% of NCVPS students report accessing their courses from home, but many other students don't have that home access to the internet. The 1Million Project's goal is to help students who do not have reliable internet access at home reach their full potential by giving them mobile devices and free high-speed internet access.

The 1Million Project Foundation may be able help your students who do not have home access to the internet. You can find the application on the Foundation's website .

Summer Program Details
Summer school with NCVPS is a fast-paced program. An entire 18-week course is taught in just 8 weeks. Students will spend 3-5 hours each day, Monday through Friday, working on their courses, and just like at a traditional school, there is often work over the weekend, too.

See our Summer School Guide for complete program details.

The North Carolina Virtual Public School is continually striving to improve our courses for all students, ensuring courses are accessible to everyone. If you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns regarding the accessibility of a course please do not hesitate to reach out to the NCVPS teacher, or to the NCVPS Director of Exceptional Children Services, Sherry Bell.

If you are aware that a student has course accessibility needs prior to the start of the semester, it would be very beneficial to discuss with Sherry Bell so that our team can ensure that the student has the access needed to the course content. Examples of accessibility options may include captioning for videos, or transcripts needed for audio.
