Getting to the Conference!

As you prepare to make your way to Connecticut, please consider saving money on parking and gas by sharing the ride!

Marriott Hartford Downtown
200 Columbus Blvd
Hartford, Connecticut

CHECK IN:  4:00 pm
CHECK OUT:  11:00 am

Located next to the Connecticut Science Center and the Connecticut Convention Center, this building is pretty easy to spot! Parking can be confusing as there are several entrances to the garage and not a lot of signage.  Look for any signs indicating hotel or Convention Center parking, they both lead to the same garage.  NERSC plans to have signage to help direct you as well!

Parking Reminder:
Please note that the  only parking that can be billed to your room at the Marriott, is VALET PARKING (Special rate of $16/day).

If you plan to self-park (special rate of $12 per day), please pick up your discounted parking pass at the NERSC Registration Desk before leaving.  You must pre-pay for in and out privileges.

Need directions?

Those traveling from the Southeast corner of Connecticut should be aware of exit closings on Route 2 once you approach Hartford.

OVERFLOW HOTEL

Holiday Inn in Hartford Downtown Area
100 East River Drive, East Hartford, CT

CHECK IN:  3:00 pm
CHECK OUT:  12:00 pm

Staying at the Holiday Inn?  Don't worry, you're not alone!  Many of the NERSC attendees are there with you.

When it comes time to make your way to the Marriott for the conference, you have a few options.

First, you can take their shuttle.  It's available Monday-Friday, 7 am to 10 am and 5 pm-10 pm.  It is on a first come, first served basis.

Second, you have the option to walk.  If the weather is nice, it's a beautiful, safe walk over the Connecticut River.  The walk takes about 15-20 minutes and is less than 1 mile away.  There are stairs, ramps and a few inclines to be aware of.

NERSC is offering a guided walk the first morning so that you can easily learn your way.  NERSC President, Patti Wilson, will meet you in the Holiday Inn Lobby on Wednesday at 7 am.  She will guide you back to the Marriott.  Want to try it on your own?  Look for the blue ribbons to help guide you.
