New Mobile App Launches for Millyard Museum!

The Manchester Historic Association is pleased to announce the launch of a new mobile app that visitors may use as they tour the Millyard Museum.

Built with technology provided by OnCell, a leader in the mobile app space for museums and destinations, the app allows visitors to learn about the history of Manchester and the people who have lived and worked there.

The mobile tour consists of 18 different stops in the museum's permanent Woven In Time exhibit.  Each stop features original audio, historic imagery, and a written introduction, and goes beyond the information presented in the exhibit.  The stops expand on one aspect of the story, providing detail that visitors wouldn't otherwise learn about.  This project has been funded through a grant from the Norwin S. and Elizabeth N. Bean Foundation.

The app is available here for viewing and visitors can use their personal smartphones and tablets onsite or from anywhere to access the content.
Be sure to check out this new feature and let us know what you think!
