Enjoying the Holidays, Even with Chronic Pain

How often has the business of the holidays drowned out the peace and calm you wish for? The blissful moments by the fireplace, cups of hot cocoa, pets snuggled up in laps can become lost in a blur of obligations, unmet expectations, and fibromyalgia flare ups. If you can relate, know that you are not alone. 

Let this year be better. Here are some suggestions, complements of the Community Pain Center to help you create the holiday peace you crave.

Can Pain and Intimacy  Co-Exist?
 
Intimacy is a normal part of life; however, for those with chronic pain, it is often an issue. According to pain experts, patients report that one of the most frustrating aspects of intimacy is the lack of dialogue around pain and intimacy.

Open Enrollment Ends Soon for Health Insurance Exchange 
 
Learn how to get tax credits for health insurance premiums and avoid  penalties by having the right coverage. The open enrollment period closes at the end of January, so be sure to sign up if you do not currently have health insurance in place.
