Greetings!
194 years ago, Norcross First United Methodist Church was established in this community. Since then, we have had a long history of sharing the love of Christ throughout this community, nation and world. God has blessed this church richly because of our faithfulness to God. During the month of October, we will celebrate Stewardship month and focus on three different areas of our church. Our theme for this year comes from Esther 4:14. Each church family will be provided a packet that includes three components. First, we will CELEBRATE and give thanks to God for all Norcross First has been able to accomplish through the resources God has provided for us. You will receive composite reports, through which you will see how the ministries here at Norcross First have made a difference in our community and throughout the world because of your faithfulness. Second, you will receive a comprehensive PLAN FOR THE GROWTH of Norcross First spiritually, physically and resource-wise for the next five years! This plan will include our mission statement, goals and the core values of our church. Third, we will SHARE what will be needed in order for us to move forward with this vision. This will include information as to opportunities you can serve through your time and talents, as well as an opportunity to pledge financially. Your financial pledge will allow the Finance Committee to project our 2013 income for budgetary purposes. God is at work here at Norcross First, changing the lives of people in this community and throughout the world. And, we believe the best is still to come as we commit to serve God through the giving and sharing of our time, talents and resources. Our prayer is for the entire congregation here at Norcross to be revived during the month of October and that we together would commit to hold each other accountable to do all we can as individuals and as a congregation to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through the ministries of Norcross First United Methodist Church. God has blessed us for such a time as this! Find Us Faithful, Gary
