2017 Off to a Good Start after a Strong 2016

The 2016 NGage Annual Report is full of positive news relating to our work in economic development.  When we stopped to reflect upon the year and add up the numbers we were amazed.

Did you know that
$65 M was the total investment attributed to Gage County growth valuation in 2016?
With investments made by E-Energy Adams ethanol plant, Duonix /Flint Hills bio-diesel plant, Landmark Snacks, the new Rare Earth Production Facility, new housing starts, 13 new small businesses and other expansions, it adds up.

We consider any investment in our area important, so keep us posted with anything having to do with business in Gage County...or just keep us posted about life because we love to listen and hear your ideas.

HOUSING STUDY IMPACT

Remember the the Gage County Housing Study that was completed last year?   Following that we have sent housing data to a number of developers  and are pursuing resources that could help housing related investments.

Thanks to said Housing Study, several projects are in motion. Just to name a few, we are excited about the plans for the Flowing Springs development, the potential Excel Project on the old Beatrice Community Hospital property, Prairie Fire development in east Beatrice, Whispering Winds Cottage memory care, and other private housing developments and projects in planning stages.

Must Be Present to Win

NGage is here to support and assist business growth and development.  Along with regional economic development partners, NGage attends trade shows that relate to our existing businesses and targeted industries.  We must be present to win.  Trade shows, site consultant events, trade missions, and conferences are an opportunity tell our story and learn about projects.  Ultimately, our mission is to help grow the economy of Gage County, Nebraska and trade shows provide a way for us to identify and meet companies that may be a good fit with the industrial base we have in our area.

Our work is not in creating competitors for local businesses but in identifying ways to complement what is already happening in the county. Learning about potential projects before they occur helps NGage be proactive.  And, it helps our local companies adapt and our local economy grow.  "Our goal is to keep everyone here happy, growing, and successful" said Walker Zulkoski, Executive Director, NGage.
