YOUR MEMBERSHIP IS WORKING FOR YOU
Your membership in the Northshore Home Builders Association includes membership in the Louisiana HBA and the National Association of Home Builders. Each organization is working on your behalf so you can focus on running your business.

The NHBA Governmental Affairs committee was recently involved in the process of drafting new drainage requirements in Tangipahoa Parish. We assigned GA members to review local council agendas to get ahead of issues that affect the home building industry. Stay tuned for education this summer when St. Tammany Parish announces a new code.

The LHBA issued an alert to all builders, remodelers, subcontractors and homeowners regarding the requirement of a specialty license for six sub classifications. Click here for alert. The LHBA lobbyist provides legislative reports in advance of and during Session.

The National Association of Home Builders team, which includes staff from government affairs, legal affairs, housing finance, regulatory affairs and communications is constantly working on behalf of members on a wide range of issues. These include environmental regulations, the tax code, federal housing programs, building programs, OSHA and housing finance, just to name a few. Click here for an update on several recent critical issues.
