Your guide to local resources for the holidays

Joyful, Merry and Bright
Winter is coming, but don't expect New Hampshire farms to be hibernating! Many of our local farms offer winter friendly activities like horse drawn wagon rides and  cut-your-own Christmas trees. Need fresh produce for the perfect holiday meal? Check out one of the many  winter farmers markets. And if you're on the lookout for the perfect holiday gift try  NH Made and help support our local economy.
Oh, Christmas Tree

Cold, crisp air, the smell of balsam surrounding you, and your family nearby, hunting for the perfect Christmas tree. Nothing kicks off the holiday season quite like finding and cutting down your own tree, and since you cut it yourself you know it's fresh. Look for a family run farm  near you  and start the holiday season off right.

Shop Local
If you are purchasing presents for your friends and family this year, why not give them a taste of New Hampshire? There are many local growers, artisans and stores that keep money in the local economy and help strengthen your community. Check out these great resources for finding locally made products near you.
Join NH Farms Network for #GivingTuesday, a global giving movement that has been driven by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities in all 50 states and in countries around the world. Since its founding in 2012, millions of people have come together to support and champion the causes they believe in and the communities in which they live.

#GivingTuesday is a movement, built by people worldwide, to celebrate giving of all kinds.  It is celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.), Black Friday and Cyber Monday; this year it falls on November 29, 2016. This movement is the result of the collective power of a unique blend of partners-nonprofits large and small; businesses and corporations; schools and universities; civic campaigns in cities, states and regions; and families and individuals-to inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities and contribute in countless ways to the causes they believe in. Everyone has something to give.
