NJSACC proudly presents their 2014 Afterschool Ambassadors Program! 

 

The NJSACC Afterschool Ambassadors is a select group of leaders in New Jersey's Afterschool communities who volunteer to serve as representatives of NJSACC. Afterschool Ambassadors assist NJSACC in fulfilling its mission to develop public awareness of Afterschool issues, build a strong network for afterschool program professionals in NJ, and to establish professional development opportunities in every New Jersey County.


NJSACC strives to recruit Afterschool Ambassadors from all 21 of NJ's counties.

Come and join us for a conference and seminar for teachers, counselors, nurses, administrators, paraprofessionals, and other educators who are working to make their schools more welcoming places for all. Consultants and trainers who work with schools are also welcome.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
At Liberty Hall follows two high school students who've just moved to New Jersey: Cristian Rosario, a funny but unfocused teenager from Queens by way of the Dominican Republic; and Alexander Hamilton, 16, the subject of Cristian's 10th grade history project. This time-bending story finds common threads of humor, honor and awkwardness as told through the experiences of a someday-Founding Father and a kid looking for a way out of the projects.

A celebration of the 350th Live is a unique partnership between Premiere Stages and the Liberty Hall Museum that celebrates New Jersey history with professional productions, tours of the museum, interactive displays, workshops for children and talk-backs with local historians.

Recreational Counselors:

Under the supervision of a Site Supervisor, the Recreation Counselor assists a group of 15 to 25 elementary school aged children ages Kindergarten through sixth grade. Recreation Counselors ensure the safety of the children as they take them through a schedule of activities that include snack, homework, gym time, arts & crafts, outdoor sports reading, board games and special events. In addition to promoting a safe, welcoming and encouraging environment for all participants enrolled.

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma required and a minimum of 2 years experience working in a recreational setting required.
