Do you work directly with children and youth in out-of-school time? Are you looking to build your science teaching skills? NJSACC is participating in an exciting STEM micro-credential and digital badging pilot with the National AfterSchool Association and Click2Science PD. We are looking for 25 front line staff as pilot participants between March 1st and May 30th.

Participants will receive training and coaching to increase competency in the following four science skills: 
    • Embracing Active STEM Learning
    • Encouraging Collaborative STEM Work
    • Reflecting and Processing STEM Experiences
    • Making Connections to STEM Careers
Participants will need to:
  • commit to 14 hours over the course of the pilot between March 1st and May 30th
  • attend face-to-face science skill training planned for March 3, 10 or 11th
  • participate in observation or other documentation demonstrating application of the four science skills within the out-of-school time environment
  • document knowledge of the four science skills through assessment, demonstration, and self-reflection
  • complete online assessment of at least one of four skills to earn micro-credentials and digital badges
  • participate in market research survey
