NLGJA-DC
June 6, 2012
Greetings!

Nominations are now open for leadership positions within the Washington, DC chapter of the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association.
This is your chance to have a say in the management of the NLGJA chapter for the nation's capital.
This is an exciting time for the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association. In just under two months time we will participate in our first-ever Unity convention. From August 1 through 4 we will join the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, Asian American Journalists Association and Native American Journalists Association in Las Vegas. Becoming part of Unity was a dream of Roy Aarons, the late founder of NLGJA. Honor his legacy by joining us for this year's convention.

NLGJA's mission, however, is a 12-month a year undertaking.  We work to ensure fair and accurate coverage of LGBT issues. Washington has one of the largest and most-enduring chapters in the organization. You could help lead the chapter. Positions open for nomination include: President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Board Member.

To ask questions or request a nomination form email: dc@nlgja.org

The nomination deadline is Friday, June 29 at 5 P.M.

Sincerely,

Matt Friedman
President, NLGJA-DC
