New NLRA Mandatory Notice Must be Posted in Your Workplace by April 30, 2012

As of April 30, 2012, most private sector employers will be required to post a notice advising employees of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act. (The original effective date was postponed.)

NLRA Posting Requirements
Private-sector employers whose workplaces fall under the National Labor Relations Act will be required to post the employee rights notice where other workplace notices are typically posted.
- Must be posted in the same place that other notices are posted.
- Must also be posted on an employer's intranet or internet site, if the employer customarily communicates with its employees by such means.
- If 20% or more of an employer's workforce speaks a language other than English, the employer must provide the required notice in the language that the employees speak.
