New NQP Online Training Portal Now Available
NQP, in collaboration with 1199SEIU Training and Employment funds, has developed an online training portal that can be used to help our partners satisfy project-specific DSRIP training requirements. The portal contains recorded training sessions, and is available at no cost 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Click here for more information.
Long Island Health Collaborative Trains "Cultural Competency and Health Literacy" Program Leaders

The Long Island Health Collaborative (LIHC) hosted a free seven-hour “Train-the-Trainer” program with 24 individuals who are now able to run Cultural Competency and Health Literacy trainings at their own sites. Read more

National Alliance of Mental Illness - Queens/Nassau Offers Support, Education and Advocacy
The Queens/Nassau chapter of the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) supports, educates and advocates for those with mental and behavioral health issues, i n alignment with NQP DSRIP project 4.a.iii, (Strengthen Mental Health and Substance Abuse Infrastructure Across Systems).  Read more
Northwell's Center for Tobacco Control Provides Tobacco Cessation Education for Community-Based Organizations
The Center for Tobacco Control at Northwell Health offered a workshop in March on “Motivating Tobacco Users to Quit.” Five Nassau, Suffolk and Queens CBOs were represented and given an educational component to take back to their clients.  Read more
DSRIP Whiteboard Videos Review Goals, Value Based Payment

The New York State DOH recently released two new DSRIP Program whiteboard videos.

In the first video, available here, NYS Medicaid Director Jason Helgerson discusses the DSRIP Year 3 theme and goals, and describes how the program's shift to performance is this year's main focus.

In the second video, available here, Helgerson provides progress overview on Value Based Payment (VBP), including an update on the percent of Medicaid payments that are currently value based. The video also describes ways to move into VBP arrangements and next steps for VBP this year.
