DSRIP and the Presidential Election: NYSDOH Says Proceed with Fact-based Optimism
In a recent memo, New York State Department of Health Medicaid Director, Jason Helgerson, touched on points to help clarify concerns many have raised regarding implications on DSRIP stemming from the recent presidential election results. Read more.
NQP’s Primary Care Plan Posted and Open for Public Comment
NQP’s Primary Care Plan is now posted and open for public comment on the New York State Department of Health’s website. The submission of a Primary Care Plan is a deliverable under the DSRIP Program for each of the 25 Performing Provider Systems (PPSs). Read more.
Northwell Health’s Diabetes Wellness Program: Making Strides with Project 3.c.i

In 2015, Northwell Health launched its Diabetes Wellness Program under its care management organization, Northwell Health Solutions. The Program is accredited by the American Diabetes Association of Diabetes Educators, and is tailored to satisfy the requirements of Project 3.c.i–implementing activities that will increase patient self-efficacy and confidence in self-management of diabetes. Read more

Behavioral Health VBP Clinical Advisory Group (CAG) Produces Behavioral Health Chronic Conditions Recommendation Report

The Behavioral Health VBP Clinical Advisory Group (CAG) has produced and posted the Behavioral Health Chronic Conditions Recommendation Report available here. The public comment period will end on November 28, 2016.

The report contains two key components: 

1) Behavioral Health Chronic Condition Playbook: The playbook provides an overview of the episode definition and clinical descriptions including ICD-9 & ICD-10 codes for the following conditions: Depression and Anxiety Disorder;  Substance Use Disorder; Bipolar Disorder; and Trauma and Stressor Disorder. 

2) Behavioral Health Chronic Condition Quality Measure Summary:  The quality measure summary provides a description of the criteria used to determine relevancy, categorization and prioritization of measures, and a listing of the recommended quality measures.
