Young Horse News
We were excited to hear that Down Royal, a 2014 filly by Alphabet Soup out of Kate Dalton's multiple Stakes placed mare Miss Crown, made her first start in a flat race at Aiken Spring Steeplechase. The eye catching filly was born chestnut, turned strawberry roan for her yearling year, and had turned grey by the time of her first start. Unfortunately Miss Crown was lost last summer due to foaling complications. However, it is certainly great to see Down Royal carrying on the family tradition.
