Greetings, NSTA Member!
Below are opportunities, updates, and reminders about what you can take advantage of as a member of the National School Transportation Association.

Looking for an opportunity to network with the school bus industry's top voices? Want to have a say in safety and regulatory issues affecting your company? Then join us at NSTA's 2012 Annual Meeting and Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin July 14-18.

As NSTA members you have the benefit of being able to access resources through our Members-Only Area webpage. These resources are designed to improve your school bus operations from an educational, financial and community relations standpoint.

In recent months, a number of school districts in Pennsylvania have been discussing potential cuts to school bus services or possible elimination of school bus services altogether.

Over the past few months NSTA has called upon members to submit applications on behalf of the school bus industry's finest to receive an NSTA award at our Annual Meeting and Convention on July 17, 2012.

The conference on the House and Senate versions of the surface transportation reauthorization bill carries on into its third week. Staff continues to meet daily and so far, has primarily been focused on "walk-throughs" of language and provisions.

Effective March 1, 2012, Caley Edgerly will oversee Thomas Built Buses bus manufacturing operations that include over one million square feet of facilities and more than 1,000 employees.

NSTA is hosting the 42nd Annual School Bus Driver International Safety Competition in conjunction with our Annual Meeting and Convention.  The event will take place July 14-15 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We are looking to friends of both the school transportation and education communities to help sponsor this event.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any questions about these, or any other industry related issues. We appreciate your continued support of the National School Transportation Association.

All the best,
