For example, since Martin Guitars was a Gold Level sponsor in the "Acoustic Guitar Category" in 2013 that meant no other acoustic guitar company could apply for a sponsorship of any level promoting acoustic guitars, but of course they many did still exhibit in the show. However Gibson could have come aboard as the electric guitar sponsor if they chose to. If Martin or anyone is a lower level sponsor then there could be multiple category sponsors.
