NYPACE is pleased to report our continued growth over the past few months. Stephanie George, our first full-time Executive Director, has been meeting with NYPACE entrepreneurs, advisors, committee members, and partner organizations. "Working alongside those involved with NYPACE has been a wonderful experience. NYPACE is lucky to have such dedicated committee members and supportive partner organizations. The enthusiasm I feel from the teams of entrepreneurs and advisors has been revitalizing. I appreciate everyone for their time and commitment to NYPACE and to our mission," said Stephanie.  

NYPACE has launched several new projects with businesses from Brooklyn, Harlem and Queens. The new projects will focus on a range of topics from marketing, storefront analysis and budgeting. We are very excited to be providing assistance to these hardworking entrepreneurs! We look forward to adding even more projects this spring and summer.

NYPACE Board of Directors

NYPACE has numerous opportunities currently available to volunteers both at the leadership and advisor levels, as well as internships.In particular, NYPACE is looking for volunteers and people who may be interested in a part-time internship who have some experience in:

Website & Social Media Intern:  responsible for assisting NYPACE in continuing to improve the effectiveness of its website as well as increase NYPACE's social media presence.

Video Compilation Intern: responsible for assisting NYPACE in the development of videos to document the stories of NYPACE entrepreneurs for publication online and in marketing materials.

NYPACE is also continually looking for advisors and volunteers who would like to join its committees. Currently, NYPACE has openings available for: 

Project Quality Assurance & Training Committee (PQT Committee): oversight of active NYPACE projects. PQT members are assigned to projects and work with NYPACE staff and volunteers to address project issues when they arise, ensuring effective project management and, ultimately, project success. The ideal candidate has worked on a few projects as both an advisor as well as a captain of a project.

Advisor Recruiting Committee: responsible for generating and maintaining our pipeline of volunteer advisors.  This committee develops contacts at major investment banks, consulting firms, private equity firms, accounting firms and marketing/advertising firms.

Entrepreneur Sourcing Committee: responsible for cultivating relationships with various community development and micro-lending organizations in New York City.   This committee screens and prepares potential entrepreneurs for NYPACE projects.

On February 28th, NYPACE held its first annual committee member dinner at Nocello in midtown. The dinner provided a chance for committee members to meet in person to discuss their various efforts within NYPACE as well as a chance for NYPACE to recognize their hard work and devotion to the organization. We look forward to future events in which all those who participate in NYPACE are able to connect and share their ideas about expanding the scope of small business success in New York City.
