Public Use of LES Gym

The District is aware of questions circulating in the community about the use of the gym at Lewisboro Elementary School.

As a result, we are sharing again the FAQ we provided at the time of the lease agreement with the Town of Lewisboro, and we draw your attention to questions 5 and 7.

We hope this information is helpful.

Helping Children Become Skilled Readers & Writers

KLSD's three elementary schools are project schools of Teachers College Reading & Writing Project, one of the world's most respected providers of professional development in the teaching of literacy.

This year, teachers benefited from in-school mentoring and coaching by staff developers, and principals received  leadership training with Lucy Calkins, the founding director of TC Reading and Writing Project.
