Issue No. 5

Recently a reporter asked us questions regarding an upcoming show we are doing.  Noting that we had been participants for many years, she asked what we were looking forward to that weekend.  Here was our response:

"What (we) look forward to at the Mountain View A la Carte & Art Festival is the chance to see old friends and fans of our gourmet foods, as well as make new friends.  It is always fun to see the same faces every year.  We are lucky to have customers who love our products.  Folks enjoy tasting their favorites and finding what new products we have.  It never gets old when someone gushes how much they enjoy a product, that they just ran out, and must have more!"

This sums up the bigger picture for us, why we love what we do here at Nan's. We get to interact with you, the best gourmet food fans anywhere! The articles in this quarter's newsletter illustrate this theme; yummy food items for mom, new tapenades to experience, and a reason to visit a winery (ok, that was a stretch - who really needs a reason?).

We are thrilled to have this relationship with you, and hope it lasts for years to come. Please don't forget to visit us at events and say hi!

Mother's Day Special!

We have it on good authority that mom's like gourmet food. We won't say how we know, but will say we have moms too. There is still time to get a great gift for her, we have made this easy by putting two 'you choose' bundles on sale. Click on the two packages to get more details:

Two Tall Bottles for Mom - This bundle lets you choose two tall bottles of our flagship aged balsamic vinegar or our luscious blended olive oil, or one of each. It just needs to add up to two bottles! Normally a tall bottle is $21 - with this special you pay $36 for two. That's a $6 savings!

Two Small Bottles for Mom - This bundle is the same idea as the above, but with small bottles instead! Clever, huh! This package is $21, a $3 savings.

With either special for a small additional charge you can include a handsome gift tote which is reusable, eco-friendly and made with handcrafted exquisite paper. We will also happily include a personalized note with your sentiments.

  Two New Tapenades!
It is fun to share something new, and we are quite proud of these exciting additions. We have new flavors in our tapenade family!  Two fascinating olive tapenades join our current collection; Wine White & Roasted Garlic Artichoke, Lemon Caper Artichoke and Bruschetta. Here is a short introduction:

 Green Olive Proven´┐Żal Tapenade

The South of France comes to life with this spicy green olive tapenade. Red bell pepper, capers, garlic, Herbes de Provence plus a hint of lemon create a smooth satisfying spread ready to eat right from the jar.
Inspired by old world tastes of the Mediterranean, this black olive tapenade is rich and luxurious. Extra virgin olive oil, garlic and delicate spices are melded with three types of minced black olives.
You may know tapenades as an appetizer spread on crackers or crostini, these are delightful in that fashion. If you want something different, try them in an omelet or on pasta!
