Lenten greetings. Yesterday's Lenten Craft Fair and Ash Wednesday services marked the beginning of 40 days of preparation and prayer as we ready ourselves for Easter.
Lent can seem a solemn season and one that is challenging to celebrate with children. But if we take the emphasis away from fasting or "givings things up" and instead focus on intentional prayer and "getting ready," the season grows in meaning and impact.
To help aid your family, we have several types of Lenten Devotionals available for you and your children.
Stop by the table in the Assembly Room this Sunday and looks through some options.
We will hand out
One Great Hour of Sharing Fish Boxes
during church this week.
Whether you opt for Lenten coloring sheets, Praying Heart boxes, calendars, devotions with stickers and tithing to your Fish Box - try on a new practice for the six weeks of Lent. Join the centuries of Lenten pilgrims walking the path to Jerusalem.
Make your ways known to me, Lord;
teach me your paths.
Lead me in your truth-teach it to me-
because you are the God who saves me.
I put my hope in you all day long.
In shared ministry,
