In  "Discipleship" Bonhoeffer argues we need to get out into "the fresh air of decision" as we follow Christ though the many unknowns of our life.

The fresh air is where Christ leads and we follow.  The fresh air is where Christ is teacher and we are students.  The fresh air is where Christ guides and we trust.  The fresh air is where Christ knows the way and we don't.  The freshest air is where Christ is the way.

This air can be had in far off and wondrous places.  Summer trips have proven to be a deep inhale of fresh air preparing for the real adventure at home.  But this air can be had each week in Princeton as we gather in faith and fellowship.  How far will we go? This summer? This week?  Hope to see you this Summer and this Sunday.

Hi All,

Our choirs are off and running with much planned for the coming months!   Thank you for being a part of our choirs. I am so grateful for each one of you.
  • Please know everyone is welcome in our choirs at Nassau.  Anytime of the year.  Please always feel free to come, or invite a friend.
  • It's time to plan for our Christmas Pageant! It will be on Sunday, December 17, 2017, 4 p.m.  Please consider how you might like to participate (middle school choir will sing), and fill out a pageant form found here:  Christmas Pageant 2017 (pdf) or pick one up in the literature rack outside the church office.  Auditions for speaking roles will take place in the Sanctuary on 10/29 and 11/5 at 12:15 p.m.  Come!
Also coming up,  Middle School Choir and Cantorei will sing Doxology for a New Day at 11 a.m. worship on November 19:

You are God, we are Your children, formed by love, we are Your own. You are God, we are Your children, Holy One, Your heart our home.

Joyfully,
Ingrid

I was born in Port Jefferson, NY a small town on Long  Island (Some people in my hometown improperly pronounce it "lawn-guy-land").  I've been around Nassau for a few years, married here, and raising my family in our church community.   I enjoy participating in the youth ministry because having had two young adults go through Nassau's program I see the impact it can have on our youth and the future of the church.  I enjoy spending time with my family (wife Angie, two daughters Lily and Amy) and a sizable extended family.  One of my favorite things to do is travel and explore National Parks.  We've been fortunate to hike and stay in a number of our National Parks and I am working on my bucket list to visit as many as I can.
