Tell us a little bit about yourself
I grew up in western New York, kind of in the middle of nowhere, and have been flipping and twirling pretty much my whole life, first as a gymnast, and then as a diver; I think that's part of what drew me to yoga! I moved to Boston for college (BU) and have stayed ever since. I actually met fellow instructor Ashley at BU, and she's the one who introduced me to DanceFIT! I spend my weekdays working as a product manager in the world of healthcare, but my real pipe dream is to ditch the desk life and teach yoga full time. When I'm not working, or practicing or teaching yoga, my hobbies include running (I've completed over 10 half marathons), hiking, camping, skiing (in the winter), beach bumming (in the summer) and traveling as often as life allows.
How long have you been
practicing/teaching yoga?
I was introduced to yoga in high-school through some work out DVDs my parents had laying around, but back then I wasn't really into the mind/body aspects of it and would just fast forward through the warm up to get to the "work out", then skip savasana. I found yoga again after I graduated college, and something about the fun music and the challenging peak poses I found at my studio in Boston made it stick this time around. Over time, I have grown to love every aspect of the practice (even the more spiritual side) and have been practicing regularly for about 6 years now! The amazing thing about yoga, is it never stops being challenging! I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training about a year ago, as a way to deepen my own practice, and found that I really loved teaching and sharing my yoga practice with others. I started teaching regularly in July of 2016, and have about 50 teaching hours under my belt.

How can I choose just one?? Top of the list would be my miir water bottle, the "free to be tranquil" sports bra by lululemon, or soft tanks with fun yoga sayings from Spiritual Gangster
