January 5 is NATIONAL BIRD DAY

Commemorate National Bird Day and the theme of the month, "Creation," by joining in a bird walk on the CUC grounds at 8:30am before the Sunday morning service on Jan 5.

(Yes, it's early -- but, as we know, the early bird sees the birds!)

Come prepared for cold, and bring your favorite bird poem or reading to share. After we end the outdoor portion of the activity we can regroup in the parsonage to watch birds at the feeders from the warmth of the den and a fire. Bring binoculars, although there will be extra pairs for your use.

Our goal: to be nourished by the beauty and wonder of nature, build community, grow relationships, and start compiling a bird list of species observed on CUC property so we can contribute as citizen scientists to the world's knowledge of bird populations.

Meet behind the parsonage near the garage at 8:30.
