New Online Cyber Intelligence Graduate Certificate
Starting in August 2018, National CyberWatch member, James Madison University, will offer a new online graduate certificate in cyber intelligence (analysis of cyber threats and adversaries). This 18-credit hour curriculum provides opportunities for those with an undergraduate degree to expand their competencies so they can pursue one of a growing number of analytical-oriented cyber positions (cyber threat analyst, cybersecurity educator or cyber intelligence specialist, for example).

Report to the President: Growing and Sustaining the Cybersecurity Workforce
The Department of Commerce and Department of Homeland Security Secretaries publicly released their report to the President, Supporting the Growth and Sustainment of the Nation's Cybersecurity Workforce . This report was released among several other reports in response to Executive Order 13800: Strengthening the Cybersecurity of Federal Networks and Critical Infrastructure.
In part, the order states that it is the policy of the United States “to support the growth and sustainment of a workforce that is skilled in cybersecurity and related fields as the foundation for achieving our objectives in cyberspace.”

University of North Georgia Eyeing a New Cybersecurity Degree Program
The University of North Georgia is moving forward to create a cybersecurity degree program. This National CyberWatch member university is a federally designated Senior Military College and federal center that specializes in cyber defense education. As the demand for cybersecurity courses has increased, the university hopes this program will attract more students who can analyze cyber threats and investigate incidents in industry, government or military.
