MACCDC Regional Winner Takes All
In the highly contested National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition, only one team prevailed, and they were from the University of Virginia. The university had won the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition, which National CyberWatch Center hosted, to earn one of the 10 finalist spots. The team protected a fictional biotech firm’s network against sophisticated cyber attacks to earn the national title.

Webcast on Cybersecurity Curricula
Join Alan B. How Well Are Minorities Represented in Cybersecurity Professions?
The International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals (ICMCP), (ISC)², The Center for Cyber Safety & Education, and Frost & Sullivan collaborated to develop and publish the "Innovation Through Inclusion: The Multicultural Cybersecurity Workforce Report." This study was done to measure minority representation in U.S. cybersecurity professions while better understanding the challenges these highly skilled individuals have experienced.

National Cyber League Boasts Record Participation
The National Cyber League (NCL) is all about setting records, and did so again this Spring Season with a record-high of 3,350 players, up from the 1,891 participants in 2017. This dramatic increase is attributed to the inclusion of high school players, the new Coaches Calls and the influence of player and coach ambassadors, in addition to its unique cybersecurity competition experience.
