The report highlights the urgency of the next Administration to move forward promptly with their recommendations, while working closely with Congress & private sector.

2017 Secretary’s Honors Program Cyber Student Volunteer Initiative
|

This program is an effort to build a cybersecurity talent pipeline by working with secondary, post-secondary institutions and other key partners in academia and the private sector. Students will be able to learn about the DHS cybersecurity mission by completing hands-on cybersecurity work and building technical experience. Deadline: January 20, 2017

3CS will be held
June 28-30, 2017 – National Harbor, Maryland. The purpose is to prepare community college faculty members to teach cybersecurity & further their professional development. 3CS will have 4 Tracks: New to Cybersecurity, Experienced in Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity across the Curriculum, and Cybersecurity Students. Proposals are due February 15th.

Chapter Development Fees Waived

The National Cybersecurity Student Association is waiving Chapter Development fees until January 30, 2017. Cybersecurity faculty, please encourage students to start a chapter so they can network with other like-minded individuals, learn about scholarship and internship opportunities, receive discounts to conferences, and more.
