Abbe Museum Held Inaugural Indian Market
Dawn Spears, Northeast Indigenous Arts Alliance, looks back at the inaugural Abbe Museum Indian Market. NEFA funded several aspects of artist participation for the Indian Market with support from the National Endowment for the Arts' Folk & Traditional Arts program.
The board and staff engaged in a training and workshop on the principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility, facilitated by EQ (Equity Quotient), in service of the goals outlined in NEFA’s strategic plan.
New England organizations and artists who leverage local creative assets to enhance their community or address a civic challenge will gather for networking and learning at the biennial Creative Communities Exchange(CCX).
CCX 2019 will take place in Montpelier, VT, June 6-7, with the help of Montpelier Alive.
The New England Foundation for the Arts invests in artists and communities and fosters equitable access to the arts, enriching the cultural landscape in New England and the nation. NEFA accomplishes this by granting funds to artists and cultural organizations; connecting them to networks and knowledge-building opportunities; and analyzing their economic contributions. NEFA serves as a regional partner for the National Endowment for the Arts, New England’s state arts agencies, and private foundations.Learn more at nefa.org.
