Welcome to Central Farm Markets!
We are central to your table

National Food Days

If you're on Twitter, you have probably seen references to various "National Food Days." It might be National Chocolate Day, National Oatmeal Day even or National Fig Week.
We were wondering, how does a day get designated as a national food day?

We found out that the President of the United States has the authority to declare a commemorative day by special proclamation. With only 150 proclamations granted each year, it is amazing that we have a national day dedicated to some type of food 365 days a year. In fact, there are two National Guacamole Days in a year!

We are happy that the markets are open this year on National Bison Day (Saturday, November 1) and National Deviled Egg Day (Sunday, November 2). Cibola Farms has great bison, which you can pick up at Mosaic. Look for eggs at Springfield Farm, Liberty Delight Farms and even Twin Springs Fruit Farm - all at all three of our markets!

Things are getting exciting at the markets with the holidays just around the corner! Stay tuned for all the great things we are "cooking" up for you this season and...

Don't forget to change your clocks back one hour on Sunday!

Sincerely,

Mitch, Debbie, Jessica, PR, Jill, Diana and Chef Lynn
