Volunteer Appreciation Week

"Those who can, do.
Those who can do more, volunteer."
~Author Unknown
The week of April 15 marks National Volunteer Week! With fewer than a dozen full-time employees and a handful of part-time employees, the Library could not function at the extraordinary capacity we do, without the help and dedication of all our amazing volunteers. From big annual events like Our Moveable Feast and the Tour of Homes, to working in the stacks or recording oral histories in the Regional History Department, there are ample ways to be involved.
In light of Volunteer Week, we would like to say a very special thank you to valuable valley resident and Library Trustee Emeritae, Ann Christensen, for her 25 years (!!!!) of volunteer work at the Library. With a background in elementary, natural science and social studies education, Ann has graciously led "Science Time" in the Children's Library, sharing her favorite living creatures and amazing animal facts with curious kids.

THANK YOU ANN, and ALL of our volunteers for your unquantifiable service to the Library and the community.
