Let's Make Colorado Springs Rad

Navakai would like to give a massive SHOUT OUT to our incredibly cool community partners. These organizations are doing things each and every day to better where we all live, and we couldn't be more proud to support them. Boom!

Monthly Sales Pitch

Don't forget that your favorite IT Company could also be your favorite Phone Vendor...

Some of you might not realize that Navakai installs and supports VoIP Phone Systems. And, we've been doing it for years. There are a lot of options out there and after tons of research, testing, and design, we selected Digium as our partner. Digium is the market leader in Asterisk-based hosted (cloud) and premise-based unified communications. Oh, and it's super crazy inexpensive.

So, if you're thinking about upgrading that legacy phone system from the 1980's and want to learn more about the super-ultra cool features and flexibility VoIP has to offer your organization, give us a call. You might be surprised at how affordable a new Digium solution is.

OK, that's our big sales pitch for the month...maybe.

Eat pumpkin, not candy.

Fall is finally here. That means it is prime picking time for pumpkins. But before you carve up your next jack-o-lantern, do your health a favor and save the insides. Whether you toast and eat the seeds or use a blender to make a puree from the pulp to put in muffins, breads, and soups, the healthy powers of pumpkins are many.

Doctors and health officials consider pumpkins to be a superfood. This nutritious fruit is a great source of vitamins. It's also full of antioxidants like leutin, xanthin, carotenes, and fiber-all of which, your body needs to stay healthy. And just like other nuts and seeds, pumpkin seeds are rich in certain plant-based chemicals called phytosterols. In studies, these chemicals have been shown to reduce low-density lipoprotein (LDL), which is also known as "bad" cholesterol.

Pumpkins contain the antioxidant beta-carotene. This comes from a pumpkin's orange colored skin. According to the National Cancer Institute, beta-carotene may play a role in cancer prevention. Just a quarter cup of pumpkin seeds has nearly half of your daily health requirement for magnesium. Your body needs magnesium for several things, including the pumping of your heart, proper bone and tooth formation, and good bowel function.

These are just a few of the health benefits of pumpkin. So do your health a favor this fall...spice up your diet by adding a little pumpkin to it!

Welcome to the Team

Jeff Hladek, Support Specialist and Amateur Rock Star. Originally from Denver, Jeff works at our Service Desk, helping clients with remote computer support, maintenance, and the occasional guitar lessons. When he's not at work, Jeff enjoys playing music in his band, wrenching on his classic 1971 Chevy El Camino, and watching football. He got his start in technology back in the day when his first employer asked him to fix a broken computer, and he hasn't looked back ever since. We're happy to have Jeff on the Navakai All-Star Team and look forward to a guitar battle with his boss, who also shreds the 6-string...
