IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Dear Corporate Members,

As some of you know, I will be transitioning out of the role of Director of Corporate Affairs at the end of this year. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Cindy Bryant who will officially take over as the new Director on January 1, 2014.

Cindy has been with the Navy League for six years, the last four as the Director of Member Services where she has provided direct support to individual members of the Navy League and has overseen day-to-day operations of the Member Services Department. Cindy is excited to start this new role and ready to provide you, the Corporate Member, with a valuable service through the Corporate Membership Program.

Concurrently, I will transition to a new role as well. Beginning in January, I will be the Director of Corporate Business Development. I will be leading the Navy League in our efforts to grow national corporate membership overall, Sea Air Space, and our sponsorship program. Many of you will still be in regular contact with me as we start reserving Sea Air Space 2014 Sponsorships.

I would like to be the first to publicly welcome Cindy to our team! We are very excited for the future of our program and for our growing relationships with each of you.

As always, our phone lines are open if we can be of any assistance.

Sincerely,

Lindsey Lassiter
Director, Corporate Business Development

Capitol Hill Fly In

The Navy League had a successful first-ever Capitol Hill Fly In.  Eighty-three Navy Leaguers from around the country flew to D.C. to deliver the Navy League message to their Members of Congress, and a total of 136 Congressional offices were visited by a Navy Leaguer.  Our message focused on shipbuilding, sequestration, the damages of a continuing resolution, and operational tempo.  The Fly In invigorated Navy Leaguers, created new relationships between congressional staff and Navy Leaguers in the district, and ensured Congress hears from the grassroots that these issues are having significant impacts on our national security and readiness.
