Impactful Grantmaking

NetworkPeninsula and
Impact 100 Greater Peninsula present this training to help decision-makers gain a better understanding of core grantmaking concepts and best practices for grants review, site visits, and follow up. Participants will learn how to move through the grantmaking process in a way that encourages success in addressing the issues facing our communities.
This class will be led by Amy Nisenson, Executive Director of the
Mary Morton Parsons Foundation. Amy
is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the $120 million foundation and the due diligence and allocation of $5-7 million in grants annually. To learn more about this event, and to register,

Ready 2 Work Program
VersAbility Resourcesand Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula are looking for business professionals to be volunteer mentors for Ready 2 Work, a summer workforce development program for students with disabilities and those at risk to prepare them for today's competitive job market.
This year's program runs from
July 11 to August 19. We expect each Mentor to remain in contact with their mentee for at least a year after the conclusion of Ready 2 Work as they continue their journey to employment. Mentors will be responsible for attending several activities over the summer (dates are included in the application packet).
