The Better Business Bureau is warning Quickbooks users about a phishing scam that downloads malware onto victims' computers. Victims receive an email in their inbox with the subject line, "QuickBooks Support: Change Request." The email claims to be a confirmation from Intuit that a business has changed its name and contains a hyperlink that the recipient can click on to cancel the request. However, if email recipients click on the link, it directs them to a site that downloads malware to their device. Nominate a Community Leader! - The Hampton Roads Community Action Program is currently seeking nominations for their Annual Awards Banquet. The Awards recognize area citizens, businesses and institutions that have significantly contributed to the Hampton Roads Community. Awards will be presented at the Annual Awards Banquet on May 16. Nomination categories include nonprofit leaders, businesses, volunteers, youth leaders, and more. Deadline for nominations, including supporting documents is February 3. To learn more, click here.
Nominations for Outstanding Service to Seniors
- The Williamsburg Landing Fund was created to honor organizations, individuals, religious organizations or governmental entities, who have exhibited distinguished and exemplary service in the field of senior services within greater Williamsburg.
