Praise be the God of all HOPE who comfort us in our time of need.
Sharing what God has done
What a privilege to be invited by Moody Radio Nashville to share my story of God's healing and redemption. For those suffering with depression, never give up, God's grace is greater.
It's OK to NOT be OK
  Dr. Michelle Bengtson

Is it okay to tell you when I'm not fine? Do you really want to know?
Sadly, some can't handle it. They don't know how to respond. Yet, there are others who not only want the truth, they demand it.
Scripture says, "Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep." (Romans 12:15)
There is a time to offer words of encouragement. Yet, sometimes, just as Job's friends did initially, there is a time to just sit quietly and share in one's pain. Allow them the latitude and grace to "not be fine." It may be just what they need in that moment, and what you may need sometime in the future.

Overwhelming Victory
No matter what we go through, overwhelming victory is our in Christ who loves us! (Romans 8:37).
This past weekend, I had the privilege of attending a wonderful women's retreat at the Oasis Christian Center in Franklin, KY. Together, we identified some old labels and baggage and threw them out!  GOOD RIDDANCE!
Then we claimed the victory that is given to us in Christ. For in Him we are more than conquerors.  Amen!
What are you trying to carry?
Fear, feelings of failure, rejection, bitterness
We all have things we could let go of and allow Christ to replace them with overwhelming victory.

Time-out for Tea
Depression can hit when we feel stressed out because we are too busy. Take a deep breath, and invite a friend over for tea.
Take time to refresh! Encourage yourself and another, laugh, and enjoy the life God has given you.
