Black-eyed Susan, Purple Coneflower, Wild Bergamot and Purple Prairie Clover, shown above, are just a few of the showy and "pretty-darn-quick"-to-mature wildflowers in this mix.

For full-sun to partial-shade sites with medium soils, this mix includes early-to-establish prairie flowers and grasses to provide more immediate color and a naturalized look. The average maximum height of any single grass or flower included here is no more than 4-5 feet.

If planted early in the growing season, most of these plants will establish in the first year. Some blooms can be expected in the first year but this should not stop you from mowing that season. Clipping or cutting will not harm the plants and blooms should be profuse beginning the second and third years.
