Circle of Love Fund holds annual 5K For The Kids Walk/Run

The Shelly Roberts Circle of Love Fund is a fund administered by the Coral Gables Community Foundation. The fund recently hosted its 4th Annual 5K For The Kids on Sunday, February 22, 2015. • Sending a child to Camp Boggy Creek for 1 week
  • Allowing The Gift of Life to process 20 Bone Marrow Swab kits
  • Providing holiday presents and activities at the Children's Cancer Fund's Annual Holiday Party and continuing to assist the families with resources and support

Coral Gables Community Foundation hosts Sixth Annual Tour of Kitchens

On Saturday, February 7, 2015, the Coral Gables Community Foundation hosted its Sixth Annual Tour of Kitchens. Six of Coral Gables' finest private home kitchens opened their doors to the public and offered food tastings from the city's best restaurants, table setting displays and exclusive merchandise for sale by local boutiques. In addition to the homes, this year's Tour of Kitchens also featured stops at Scavolini Italian Design and the Doctors Hospital kitchen. As always, proceeds from the Tour of Kitchens benefit the Coral Gables Community Foundation and its Culinary Arts Fund, which provides support and scholarships for the Culinary Arts Program at Coral Gables Senior High School.

The Tour began at 9:00 AM with breakfast bites, coffee, and mimosas at Snaidero Kitchens + Design showroom.

The stop at Scavolini featured cooking demonstrations and a wine tasting by Spuntino Catering. Doctors Hospital offered a peek into its state of the art kitchen and featured bites prepared by the Culinary Arts Program students from Coral Gables Senior High School.

The Tour finished with a Closing Event at Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery, featuring Martini Prosecco provided by Bacardi, a wide array of desserts, kitchen talks by noted kitchen designer Julia Johnston and for the first time ever, a silent auction including home, kitchen and foodie-related items.

Attended by 460 people, this year's Tour of Kitchens was the most successful to date! For more photos from this year's Tour, please visit our Facebook page.
