Learning is growing, right?
All Of The Above.
You are a miracle!  You're working, you're knitting, you're powering through a challenging winter--and from what we can see, you're still smiling!   Hats off to you, knitters, crocheters and spinners all.
As our moms used to say, though, don't forget to eat. Don't forget to nourish yourself, whatever that may mean for you each day. Maybe it's a little time out for a good book. Maybe it's an extra dose of knitting time on a project that's gotten squeezed out of your busy schedule. Around here, we think that a class is a GREAT way to feed yourself. Maybe a little shot of Crochet For Knitters to round out your skill set? Perhaps you've always wanted to try spinning yarn on a spinning wheel--give yourself that gift with our Learn to Spin workshop. And don't forget that winter is still with us; stop by and sign up for Lara's Learn To Knit Mittens class to keep cozy during all that shovelling!
What are we doing to nourish ourselves, you ask? Ordering spring yarn, of course! You'll start to see cottons, silks, and linens emerging in the next few weeks--but that's another newsletter!
Take care, knit well, see you soon.

Learn to Knit Socks--
Two At a Time!

A cozy pair of hand-knit socks is one of life's essential pleasures.  In this class, we'll learn to knit a basic top-down sock, but smarter: we'll knit using two circular needles, and we'll knit both socks at once! The pattern (which you can preview here) gives knitters the flexibility to use either fingering or DK weight yarn, for your choice of coziness. Chloe will use three class sessions to cover all the basics of sock contruction, from swatching to making sure they fit, to casting on two-at-at-time, to turning the heel and finishing the toe.
