Participatory Data Analysis for Evaluators
Data Parties and Dabbling in the Data

Participatory data analysis with stakeholders (also known as data parties, sense-making sessions, results-briefings, and data-driven reviews) is an important, but often under-utilized, tool for promoting evaluation use.  In these interactive webinars learn how to organize and facilitate a "data party", as well as tips and techniques that set the stage for success.

Through informal peer-to-peer lecture, practical real-life examples and demonstrations, group discussion, and hands-on exercises, the presenters will share their own experience and tips including why and when to host a data party, who to invite, possible formats, potential pitfalls, and ways to engage stakeholders in making better sense of the data.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of these webinars you will be able to:
  • list reasons for holding a data party
  • describe possible hosting formats
  • clarify the kind of question you want the group to answer
  • choose appropriate team-based sense-making activities
  • state three tips for overall success.

Help us better tailor the webinar content even more to your needs by answering a needs assessment survey beforehand.
