The commission announced that it will conduct public interviews of the applicants Friday March 4, 2016, beginning at 8:30 a.m., at the Missouri Court of Appeals, 300 Hammons Parkway, Third Floor Courtroom, Springfield, Missouri. The commission will select three nominees from the applicants interviewed for the governor's consideration. Governor Jay Nixon will have 60 days to appoint one of the three nominees to the position. The members of the Thirty-First Circuit Judicial Commission are:  Andrew Bennett, Steve Garner, Steven Stepp, Joann Hosmer and the Honorable Mary W. Sheffield, who serves as Chair.
