Sun, July 9 & July 23: Northeast Georgia Chef Throwdown at the Teaching Kitchen
Six Mountain Region chefs will compete in a "Chef Throwdown" cooking contest on July 9. Chefs will be challenged to use "mystery ingredients" to each create a dish that will be rated by an expert panel of judges (Judges include Chefs Jamie Allred, Fortify, Cara Lee Langston, Teaching Kitchen, David and Gayle Darugh, Beechwood Inn and Holly Chiochetti, Heaven's Landing). Three winners will go through to the Grand Finale on July 23 to compete for title of "Best Chef". The event is sponsored by Fortify Pi, Beechwood Inn, Clarks' on Main, Noble Wine Cellar, August Produce, Inland Seafood, and Performance Food Group.

The Waterfall Country Club, Clarks' on Main, The Farmhouse, Universal Joint, Lake Rabun Hotel, and Moon Pie/Amore.

Starting at 5pm, enjoy hors d'oeuvres provided by Fortify Kitchen + Bar. Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
