Building a Communications Plan
The Partnership is excited to offer a new
communications track at the
Management Leadership Training Conference (#MLTC18) in Houston,Texas.
Building on the recent release of the national Community Action Partnership's communications plan, Springboard Partners will walk participants through the process of
creating and implementing a state and local communications plan through a deep dive three-hour session. Special attention will be given to creating effective messages, understanding your target audience to maximize communication efforts, and communicating via digital platforms.
Added: Creating a Crisis Communication Plan
In addition, there will be a separate three-hour session on
creating a robust crisis communications plan that helps attendees prepare for any crisis that befalls their agency or community. Receive practice tips and tools for communicating during a crisis.Take part in mock interviews and learn how to respond when confronted by the news media. Spend time creating and building crisis plans that you can implement in your organization.
This is the first time the Partnership has offered an all-day communications track. Don't miss this incredible opportunity to enhance your communications skills!

The Board Track at MLTC18 Offers Numerous Focus Sessions
The Partnership is pleased to offer a special Board Member Track at MLTC18.
Whether it's Finance, Strategic Planning, Overall Board Responsibilities, or Board Development and engagement , MLTC18 offers extensive training in numerous key governance areas. Take part in deep dives through the processes of board recruitment, orientation, and retention planning; finance; and succession planning .
When it comes to the Board's Role in Finance , MLTC18 promises to deliver. Improve understanding of financial statements as well as the role of the Treasurer, Finance Committee, and audit. Learn what is required to be included and what you should be looking for in agency statements.
