Are you are concerned about the increasing amount of violence in New Haven?
The Clergy Ambassador Program is a way to do something to reduce it. Its mission is to formalize a working relationship between the New Haven Police Department and New Haven area clergy in an effort to form a partnership that will build trust and mutual respect between the police department and the community; to improve the quality of life of all New Haven residents; reduce crime and enhance public safety.
One of the first steps is to participate in an Academy on March 30th from 8am to 4pm at the New Haven Police Academy at 710 Sherman Parkway in New Haven. It is not necessary to sign up for the Ambassador Program as a prerequisite to participating in the one day training academy.
