New Jersey Building & Construction Trades Council Endorses Bell, Mazzeo, Armato
NJ B&CTC officially endorsed the entire Democratic ticket in
New Jersey's 2nd Legislative District
(Atlantic City, NJ) -- Yesterday, the New Jersey Building and Construction Trades Council announced their endorsement of Colin Bell for Senate, Assemblyman Vince Mazzeo, and John Armato for Assembly in NJ LD2. The endorsement was announced following the NJ B&CTC Convention in Atlantic City.

The New Jersey State Building and Construction Trades Council represents 13 Local Building Trades Councils, more than 100 local unions and 150,000 members, and coordinates activity and provides resources to 15 affiliated trade unions in the construction industry.

"I want to thank NJ B&CTC for their endorsement," said Colin Bell, Democratic candidate for State Senate. "Every day, as an attorney for many union contractors across the state, I see the need for strong, fair labor practices. As State Senator, I will fight to expand and protect these values. The redevelopment of Atlantic County has in large part been thanks to the hardworking members of these unions and we need to ensure we continue to support these dedicated men and women."

Colin Bell and Assemblyman Mazzeo addressed the NJ B&CTC this week during their convention held today in Atlantic City.

"I am honored to receive this endorsement," said Assemblyman Mazzeo. "As Assemblyman, I have worked hard to be an advocate for New Jersey labor and to protect critical union rights like prevailing wage. Supporting NJ B&CTC means supporting safer worksites, better wages, and greater benefits for hard working New Jerseyans."

"I am so thankful for NJ B&CTC's endorsement," said John Armato, candidate for State Assembly. "As a former member of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 322, I have such respect and gratitude for the work our labor unions do on behalf of their members and the state. As Assemblyman, I will continue to fight for their interests and advance the priorities of our hardworking families."
