Career Project at the New London Middle School

Dear Professional:

We're writing this letter on behalf of the students of New London Middle School. The 8th grade is currently investigating the variety of careers available to them in the future, and would like to invite speakers from our professional community to share their wisdom and experiences from their career field.

As a professional in our local community, your presence will greatly impact our eighth grade students' career study. With your expertise, our students will learn new and interesting facts about the variety of careers available to them and help them plan for their future.

We are looking to schedule speakers each week starting in January through May. Students explore 16 different career clusters. If you are interested, please see the schedule below and contact Mrs. Sasse in the Middle School Guidance Office at: (920) 982-8532 ext. 2208.

School District of New London POPS Concert
Each year the New London Intermediate and Middle School Instrumental Music Department holds a POPS Concert as a fundraiser event featuring selections played by the concert bands to showcase the musical talents of the youth of our community.  In addition to the concert, a drawing is held for prizes, donated by area businesses, as well as higher - valued items.  In the past, higher valued items have included musical instruments, furniture and autographed sports equipment which have always made our fundraising efforts extremely successful. All proceeds from this concert go to benefit New London Middle School band students.  Previous concerts have provided funding for summer band camp scholarships, trips to regional band competitions, a commissioned music piece for the Middle School band by a nationally known composer, and essential equipment for the music department.

The 15th Annual New London Intermediate / Middle School Instrumental Music POPS concert will be held on Saturday, Feb. 14th.  Since you have generously donated to our program in the past, we would again, respectfully request your consideration of donating an item or monetary gift that would help make our fundraiser event a HUGE success.  Since there is always a large turnout for our performances of over 800 attendees your support will be readily acknowledged by the public.
We also offer the opportunity to advertise in our concert program.  Advertising is available for $25 per business card sized ad, $40 per two business card sized ads and $55 per 3 business card sized ads.  For additional information on donations click here.

2015 Feather Fest Sponsorship Request

In 2011, New London became one of fifteen cities across Wisconsin to receive an inaugural Bird City, Wisconsin designation. Now in its 5th year, there are over 80 Bird City communities across Wisconsin. As part of our commitment to Bird City, a number of organizations from the community have joined together to create an exciting annual event, Feather Fest. The event celebrates urban bird life and raises awareness of migratory birds in our area.

Mosquito Hill Nature Center, the New London Parks and Recreation Department, and the New London Public Museum are already involved with Feather Fest and we're hoping to add your business to the list. This year's celebration, to be held on April 25th, is well into the planning stages. Our focus is to offer a variety of activities around New London to give everyone, no matter what their interest level, an opportunity to join the fun and learn a bit about our amazing feathered friends. We hope to attract not only members of our community but also families and tourists from around the area.  See More...

On Friday, Jan. 30th through Sunday, Feb. 1st, Water Street Vintage is holding their One Year Anniversary Celebration. They will be having a mall wide sale, refreshments and have some great door prizes. They would like to express their gratitude to all of their customers and dealers for making their first year a huge success and they are excited to see what year two brings. For additional information contact Water Street Vintage at (920) 982-9826.
Phone Settings for Added Security

Consumers are increasingly using mobile phones for capabilities formerly available only on PCs. The bulk of mobile phone security relies on the user making intelligent, cautious choices. Even the most careful users can still fall victim to attacks on their mobile phones. However, following best practices from the US Department of Homeland Security for mobile phone security can reduce the likelihood or consequences of an attack.  See More...
