New London Heritage Historical Society
Brat Fry, Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 
On Saturday, May 2nd, the New London Heritage Historical Society will be holding a brat fry / book sale / rummage sale from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.   at 900 Montgomery St., New London.  Proceeds to benefit much needed maintenance of buildings in the historical village.

Golden Girls of Anytime Fitness - New London
Brat Fry, Saturday,
May 2nd, 2015  
On Saturday, May 2nd, the Golden Girls of Anytime Fitness - New London will be hosting two brat fry's with all proceeds going to the Jodi Daul family. 

One brat fry will be held at 1410 Pinewood Ct., New London (in Cedarhurst).  The second will be held at Anytime Fitness, 1111 N. Shawano Rd., New London.  Both fry's will take place during City Wide Rummage and will begin at 9 a.m. and go through the afternoon. 

New London Boy Scout Troop 59

Brat Fry, Saturday, May 2nd, 2015  

On Saturday, May 2nd, the New London Boy Scout Troop 59 will be holding a brat fry in the Bucky's Restaurant parking lot from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. 


Walgreens offers "Seniors Day" Discount

May 5th, 2015  

If you are 55 years of age or older (proof of age may be required) you may be eligible for discounts at Walgreens on  May 5th. 

 

All regular - price merchandise receives a 20% discount.

 

The following rules apply...

Discounts not valid on prescriptions, cigarettes, dairy products, liquor, liquor department items, phone cards, newspapers, magazines, stamps, gift cards, items or services submitted to insurance for reimbursement or where otherwise limited by law.

 

The offer is only valid with Balance Rewards card and is available to all AARP members with valid AARP card.  Valid in Walgreens and Duane Reade stores on select "Seniors Days."

Most Precious Blood Catholic School Presents

Their Spring Concert "Discovery" 

May 6th, 2015 at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.  

On Wednesday, May 6th, the community is invited to join students, family and staff for their spring concert.  An ice cream social will be held after the 6 p.m. performance.   Student projects will be on display to view. 

On Saturday, May 9th, the New London Public Library will host Taste Of: Food, Fun, and Information from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.  This festival will feature how - to presentations from local businesses and the opportunity to purchase small dishes provided by local restaurants.  A full day of learning and tasting starts at 9 a.m., with a new how - to presentation starting every 30 minutes.  For more details click here or contact the Library at (920) 982-8519 or visit their website here.

His Way Events 

On Saturday, May 16th, His Way is holding a Brat Fry from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Festival Foods in New London.  We are in need of volunteers to help at this important fundraiser for His Way.  We have three shifts that we need volunteers to help sell brats, burgers, and soda:  9 a.m. - 11 a.m., 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., and 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.  Please email us to sign up, or call Chris Martinson at (920) 850-9406, or Merry Stern at (920) 982-6329.

Please be sure to attend this exciting educational and networking opportunity for Chamber members.  On the third Wednesday of each month from 8 - 9:15 a.m. join the Chamber in the St. Joseph Residence Chapel (please park on the road) for our monthly business briefing / networking session.  

 

St. Joseph Residence will provide coffee and snacks for each session. Come join us and learn what's happening with the Chamber and each other.  Each of you will be given the opportunity to introduce yourself and your business and share something about your business that you want others to know.  Use this opportunity to promote and educate yourself with the offerings of other Chamber members.  In addition, we encourage you to invite either an existing Chamber Member, a prospective Chamber Member or a public service person to the meeting. We will have a great prize drawing and a lot of networking opportunities.

Annual Membership Meeting

Friends of the New London Public Museum (FNLPM) held its 2015 Annual Membership Meeting and Dinner on Tuesday, March 24, at Shamrock Heights Golf & Supper Club in New London.

 

During the business meeting, FNLPM members re-elected Corinne Rateau to her first full 2-year term as a board member. Sheila Villiesse, one of FNLPM's original board members in 2008, was also elected to a 2-year term.  They join board members Jennifer Grumann, Brenda Hansen, Carrie Karow, and Paulina Krolow who were not up for reelection.  See More...

CHS Larsen Cooperative

Filling Food Shelves With Community Support

 

CHS Larsen Cooperative had another successful year in the CHS Harvest for Hunger campaign, an annual program that gathers funds, food and grain to help fight hunger in local communities.

CHS Larsen Cooperative locally raised a total of $6395.58 and 1,654.9 pounds of food, which will be matched by parent company, CHS, to bring the 2015 total to $12,958.92. This will be distributed to local food pantries in our surrounding area.  See More... 

New London Public Museum
 Celebrates Historic Preservation Month

The New London Public Museum invites Daina Penkiunas from the State Historic Preservation office to talk about the National Register and historic preservation tax credits. If you are a home or building owner, or just an interested community member, join us at the museum on Wednesday, May 6 at 6 p.m. The presentation is free, light refreshments will be provided.  Adopts A New Logo

 

The New London Public Museum announces a new logo! Christine Cross, Museum Director, worked with the Bemis Graphics Design Team to create a new logo for the museum. The previous logo used by the museum was close to fifteen years old and needed to be updated.
